OBS Payslips allows you to store and communicate payslips with the employees in your organization in a simple and secure way. Every uploaded file in module "Payslips" gets encrypted with AES-256 algorithm (32-bit key). Upload payslips (HR/Finance)
Open "HR" Section -> "Payslips" -> Click "Create"
Fill in the month and click "Save"
Upload the payslips into OBS as shown below.
Set an encryption password. The encryption password will be used to decrypt the uploaded files. There is no way to restore the data if you lose the password. If you upload multiple files at once, the system will use the same password to encrypt all files.
Important: The names of the payslip files must have the following structure:
COPORATE_ID.EXT
For example:
190002.pdf
If the corporate number is found, the name of the uploaded file will be changed. For example file name "190002.pdf" will be renamed to "John Doe 190002.pdf", as John Doe is the employee with corporate number "190002".
As soon as you upload the payslips, the employees in your organization will be able to download them following these steps:
Download payslips (Employees)
Open the employee profile page (shown on the figure below):
Open section "Payslips" and click the padlock icon. Enter the encryption password to get a download link.
Click the "Download File" link to get the decrypted payslip.
Important: If the password is incorrect, the file will not be readable. There will be no error message if the password is incorrect, as OBS does not store the password in the database.
